Current Obsession: Leafy Green

I don't know if it's summer vibes or that fact that my favorite colors is green but, I've been going crazy about any leafy green printed items. Here's a few of my faves that I've been obsessed with or eyeing.

Thrifting Lilly

Lilly Pulitzer will always be one of my favorite brands. I just can't away from the bright colors and new prints every couple of weeks. From owning my Etsy shop FabricBowsForDays I basically have to know every new print that's coming out to see what needs to be added to the shop. The problem here is I fall in love with everything. And I mean everything. Lilly definitely isn't on the lower price end so you have to be somewhat selective with what to buy.

The past couple of years I have fully immersed myself in the brand, this includes also finding ways to save money, while fueling my obsession. Here's a short list of sites to find lower priced Lilly and what I've found.

1. Poshmark. This is a great site where I see the most variety of items that pop up continuously all day long. I also use it to sell pieces I don't wear anymore. It's great because there is a large audience that will see your items. The only thing to watch out here is that every sale 20% is taken out. Here's the link to my closet and if you want to receive $5 off your first purchase use the code "HLIIN" when signing up. Here's a few deals I snagged!

Pool Float Sound Off

I'm definitely known as the girl with too many pool floats. But I really don't think that's possible. This trend has recently blown up and I've been riding every bit of its wave. It's always hard to tell online which is the best (for the best price). Well, don't worry, I'm a professional.

We all know the giant swan from Taylor Swift's parties that I never seem to get invited to. She was featured on a Swimline Inflatable White Swan. So naturally I had to have it. This can currently be found at Urban Outfitters (Swan Pool Float).

What could make the giant pool float trend better? Adding fruit of course! That's when this giant watermelon slice became mine. It's perfect because my arms and toes just barely hang off the edge, which is needed when summers in Florida are a constant 97 degrees. This is also Swimline and can be found at Urban Outfitters (Watermelon Slice Pool Float).

Last is my flamingo. It is the statement piece of my pool back home, mainly because we have two of them floating around at all times. Now for anyone graduating in the near future that has a fountain on campus this is something I definitely recommend for some killer pictures. Of course naturally champagne was involved. The flamingo is Big Mouth brand and can be found for $30 at Off 5th (Big Mouth Flamingo Pool Float).

Now what's next? I have a few in mind!

Let the post-grad crafting begin!

Hello, my name is Katy Gidwani. Here's my blog to show off how I "Do Something Creative Everyday" with a side of champagne, or at least Starbucks.

I just graduated from the University of Central Florida majoring in advertising and public relations. My main focus from that was social media.

Throughout my college career I filled my time (and whole apartment) running an Etsy shop. My shop's name is FabricBowsForDays. There you can chose from an array of products from headbands to shirts in various Lilly Pulitzer prints. I've always been the crafty type so running this shop has given me an outlet to do something with all my crafting.

Stay tuned to see what projects I'm working on!
